Google Translator App
Good enough It does a proper job when translating couple of words. For a sentence though, especially in german language, it's terrible. Fails very often with offline translation even with the downloaded offline package. Unreliable of one does not have internet connection. Full ReviewGood, but could be better This app is really good, but if you could make it so it is grammatically correct for when you're trying to translate a whole sentence it would be Amazing. I tried translating a japanese sentence to english and it was messed up i couldn't understand it. I hope to see this added in a update in the near future Full Review

Excellent by Dragonite398 All you can ask of an automatic translation program, at least currently, is that it convey the gist of what it is translating to the listener or reader without too many confusing errors. I have used five other translation apps, all of which got better ratings than this one. This program does the best job of all the other apps. I typically use it to translate small to medium sized texts -- mostly news articles. I can always figure out the meaning of the text with this app -- not so with the others. Google did a very nice job with this.
It's a neat trick that should really save people some hassle, whether they frequently need to translate text or just do so on occasion. Google says it should work inside of any app, be it a chat app, a browser, or so on, so long as you can highlight the text. Microsoft added a very similar feature to its Android translation app last month, but it placed the translate option in the cut / copy / paste menu, which is maybe a bit less convenient than a giant bubble (or maybe less annoying, depending on how you look at it). Google previously offered translations in this way too, but it was limited to certain apps.
Maksim Ridge Naumov September 4, 2016 Now it's literally a perfect app! Since there's an option to translate any word or sentence without even launching this app. I swipe the words I don't know in French or Spanish, press copy and Voila! Translator appears in the small window. I really love it! Thanks for this update! Full Review
