How to install window 10 Pro
Partition your system drive however you like. If you just have a single Windows partition, you can tell the installer to overwrite it. If you have many partitions, you could delete them all and tell Windows 10 to install itself in the unallocated space.Note that you can use this tool not only to upgrade Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 PCs, but also Windows 10 PCs with older builds. Don’t get sneaky, though. You won’t be able to score a free upgrade to Windows 10 Professional if you existing license doesn’t support it. Here’s a recap of who gets what:
Before you install Windows 10, it’s a good idea to save any work and back up your PC before you start. If you used the media creation tool to download an ISO file for Windows 10, you’ll need to burn it to a DVD before following these steps.Attach the USB flash drive or insert the DVD on the PC where you want to install Windows 10. Restart your PC, and then press any key to boot from the USB flash drive or the DVD. If you restart your PC and your current version of Windows starts, you might have to open a boot menu or change the boot order in your PC's BIOS or UEFI settings so that your PC boots from the media. To open a boot menu or change the boot order, you'll typically need to press a combination of keys (such as F2, F12, Delete, or Esc) immediately after you turn on your PC. For instructions on changing the boot order for your PC, check the documentation that came with your PC or go to the manufacturer's website. If changing the boot menu or order doesn't work, try again by signing in to Windows, shutting down, and then starting your PC.On the Install Windows page, select your language, time, and keyboard preferences, and then select Next.Select Install Windows.

Beyond that, the process depends on what (if any) special mechanisms have been put in place by Microsoft to facilitate bulk free upgrades for businesses. If there are none, you'll more or less have to follow the article's process on each and every computer.

Before you use your bootable Windows 10 USB drive, you must first upgrade your existing Windows installation to Windows 10 in order to activate it. If you don't do this and instead format your hard drive, you will end up with a copy of Windows 10 which won't work.
Daniel_Nelson: Well i'll be surprised if it did. But please make it idiot proof. I am sick. This really sets me back. No I don't have a backup. Man, that's terrible, and I'm sorry that happened to you. The one thing I hope you'll take away from this is that you need to always have a backup of your files; if you're using a flash drive to store your classwork, you should make copies regularly. Flash drives can be unreliable, and corrupted flash drives are pretty common. I hope you can get through your finals okay; I remember what it's like to be in that spot - I had to re-do my research and re-write a term paper at the last minute, and it was rough. I was writing right up until the last possible minute, and I printed out the paper and just barely made it to class on time. I swore I'd never let that happen again, and after taking that final, I set up a backup routine to prevent me from losing more files in the future.
